The Clinical Research Center was established
in January 1991 and is directed by Phillip E. Korenblat,
M.D. C.C.I. and Jeffrey Tillinghast, M.D. C.C.I. The Clinical
Research Center is a nationally recognized study site for
allergy,
asthma and other respiratory illnesses.
All Clinical Research Center studies are conducted
by specialty trained physicians and registered nurses. The
staff also includes an RN Site Manager, Subject Recruiter
and Regulatory Coordinator

Dr.
Phillip Korenblat is a Professor of Clinical Medicine at Washington
University School of Medicine specializing in Asthma, Allergy
and Clinical Immunology. He obtained his undergraduate and
Doctor of Medicine degrees from the University of Arkansas.
Following graduation, Dr. Korenblat served an internship at
the Jewish Hospital of St. Louis followed by a tour of military
service. He returned to Jewish Hospital to complete his residency
training, and then entered a fellowship at the Scripps Clinic
and Research Foundation in La Jolla, California. Upon completion
of his fellowship in 1966, Dr. Korenblat returned to St. Louis.Dr.
Korenblat is an accomplished clinical investigator and educator
who was named the “Outstanding Teaching Allergist for
2003” by the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma &
Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma &
Immunology.
He is board certified
in Asthma/Immunology and Internal Medicine and is a member
of a number of professional societies, which include American
Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, Americana College
of Allergy, Asthma & immunology, American College of Physicians,
American Thoracic Society, American Medical Association and
the Missouri State Medical Association.
Dr. Korenblat is a Certified Clinical
Investigator (C.C.I.) through the Drug Information Association and
has completed over 200 clinical research studies. He has published extensively and participates
in community activities including the Asthma and Allergy Foundation
of America and the American Lung Association.Dr. Korenblat
is listed in "Best Doctors in America," as well as "America’s
Top Doctors," and has received the Distinguished Service Award
from the Washington University Medical Center Alumni Association.
Dr. Korenblat has an active role in teaching Washington University School of Medicine, allergy fellows and internal medicine residents.
Jeffrey P. Tillinghast,
M.D. C.C.I.
Jeffrey P. Tillinghast, M.D. C.C.I.
Dr.
Jeffrey Tillinghast is an Associate Professor of Clinical
Medicine at Washington University School of Medicine specializing
in Asthma, Allergy and Clinical Immunology. He received his
undergraduate degree in biochemistry from State University
School of Medicine of New York at Albany graduating summa
cum laude. Dr. Tillinghast pursued medicine at Washington
University School of Medicine completing his internship and
residency in Internal Medicine at Barnes Jewish Hospital.
Dr. Tillinghast completed
subspecialty training in Allergy and Immunology at the National
Institutes of Health in Bethesda, Maryland. Dr. Tillinghast
has conducted research in immunology resulting in the publication
of several papers on the Human Immune response.
Dr.
Tillinghast is a Certified Clinical Investigator (C.C.I.) through
the Drug Information Association and has participated in
over 200 clinical trials focusing on new pharmaceuticals in the treatment of allergy, asthma
and other respiratory diseases. Dr. Tillinghast is an accomplished
clinical investigator and was listed in the “Best
Doctors in America". Dr. Tillinghast is a member
of multiple national societies including The American Thoracic
Society and The American Academy of Asthma, Allergy and
Immunology.
He maintains a strong association with Washington University
School of Medicine teaching internal medicine residents
and
allergy fellows.
Performance and
Experience

all Registered Nurses.

Since 1991, The Clinical
Research Center has completed more than 200 studies specializing
in allergy, asthma and other respiratory illnesses such as COPD
and Influenza.

We meet or exceed enrollment goals in
essentially all of the studies in which we participate.

We can utilize either Central or Washington
University Institutional Review Boards.

Dedicated monitor area with internet
access.

We are located on the campus of Barnes
Jewish West County Hospital and able to perform studies in conjunction
with their facility if the protocol requires.
7.
Documented experience in phase II-IV
trials. Experienced in pediatric and adult subjects with allergy,
asthma and other respiratory illnesses.

The Clinical Research Center has been
conducting Patient Satisfaction Surveys since 2000. Statistics
show subjects surveyed are highly satisfied with their experience
and willing to participate in future studies.

Our dedicated staff of Study Coordinators
are available to perform clinical trials at 7:00 a.m. six days
per week to help meet the needs of both the subjects and the
study protocols.

Our database includes over 4,000 adult
and pediatric patients interested in participating in clinical
trials. This number grows each year as we continue to specialize
in respiratory illnesses.
11.
When performing studies with long visits,
our extended visit area is equipped with two televisions, a
VCR,DVD, video games and DSL Internet access for subjects’
convenience.
